Edit a PDF online for free
Open a PDF and click any line of text to change it.
Or drop a PDF here. Files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
The editor keeps the font, size and colour of the original, so a correction blends in with the rest of the page. All of the work happens in your browser and the file is never sent to a server.
How to edit a PDF online for free
- Choose Open a PDF, or drag a file onto the start card.
- Click the text you want to change and type. Its font, size and colour are kept.
- Drag text, images or shapes to move them, pull a corner to resize, or delete what you do not need.

What you get
Corrections that match the page
Edited text uses the original font when it is installed on your device, and a close match when it is not.
Move, resize and delete
Text blocks, images and shapes that are already in the PDF can be selected and rearranged, not just covered up.
Find and replace
Search the document for a word or phrase and replace it wherever it appears.
Undo and redo
Every change can be stepped back, so you can try an edit without risk to your work.
Edit PDF: questions and answers
Can I change the text that is already in a PDF?
Yes. Click a line of text and type. The editor rewrites that text in the PDF itself and keeps its font, size and colour, rather than placing a new box over the old words.
Will the font stay the same after I edit?
The editor uses the original font when it is installed on your device. When it is not, it picks a close match, so check the result on important documents.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
A scanned page is a picture of text. Run text recognition (OCR) on it first, and the recognised text becomes searchable and editable.
Does the edited PDF get a watermark?
No. Nothing is added to your document unless you add it yourself.
