Scan documents to PDF with your camera
Turn paper into a PDF using the camera on your phone, tablet or laptop.
Or drop a PDF here. Files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
The scanner finds the edges of the page, straightens it and lets you clean up the image before it is added to your document. There is no app to install and the pictures are not uploaded.
How to scan documents to PDF with your camera
- Choose Scan or use photos and allow the browser to use your camera.
- Point the camera at the page and capture it. The page edges are detected for you.
- Adjust the corners if needed and pick a clean-up filter.
- Capture more pages, then download them together as one PDF.
What you get
Automatic edge detection
The scanner outlines the page in the photo and corrects the perspective, so a picture taken at an angle comes out flat.
Corner adjustment
If the detected outline is slightly off, drag each corner to the right place before the page is straightened.
Clean-up filters
Filters improve the contrast of a scan so text is easier to read and print.
Searchable text
Run text recognition (OCR) on a scanned page to make its words searchable and editable.
Scan to PDF: questions and answers
Do I need to install a scanner app?
No. The scanner runs in your browser and uses the camera through the browser's permission prompt.
Can I scan several pages into one PDF?
Yes. Capture each page in turn and they are added to the same document. You can reorder or delete pages before you download.
Can I use photos I have already taken?
Yes. Choose existing photos instead of the live camera and they go through the same edge detection and clean-up.
Are my scans uploaded?
No. Photos are processed on your device and are not sent to a server.
