Fill in a PDF form online

Complete a PDF form without printing it.

Files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

The tool lists the form's own fields so you can type answers, tick boxes and pick from lists, and it saves each answer into the PDF. The form is filled in on your device and is never uploaded.

How to fill in a PDF form online

  1. Choose the PDF form.
  2. Type into the text fields, tick the boxes and pick from the lists.
  3. If the form should no longer be editable, select Flatten form.
  4. Close the form and select Download.

What you get

  • Every field in one list

Text fields, multi-line fields, check boxes, radio buttons and drop-down lists are shown as ordinary form controls, each with a link to its page.

  • Respects the form's rules

Read-only fields are shown but locked, length limits are enforced, and required fields are marked in words.

  • Flatten when you are done

Flattening turns the answers into ordinary page content and removes the fields, so the form can no longer be changed by accident.

  • Works for printed-style forms too

If the PDF has no fillable fields, use Add text and the check mark to write on the page instead.

Fill PDF form: questions and answers

Why does my PDF show no fields?

Many forms are plain pages meant to be printed and have no fillable fields. The tool tells you so; use the editor's Add text and Check mark tools to fill those in.

Can I sign the form here?

Signature fields cannot be filled with a certificate signature. You can place an image of your signature on the page with the Sign tool.

Will my answers show in other PDF readers?

Yes. Each answer is stored in the field and drawn on the page the standard way. Flatten the form if a recipient's software has trouble with form fields.

Is the form uploaded?

No. It is filled in inside your browser.
