Convert PDF to Excel
Convert the tables in a PDF into an Excel workbook.
Or drop a PDF here. Files stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
Each page becomes a sheet: where a table is found its rows and columns are kept, and pages without a table become one line of text per row. Only text is written: pictures and formatting are left out, and on a page with a table the text outside it is skipped, which the converter reports. It does not reproduce every detail of the original layout, and it tells you what it left out.
How to convert PDF to Excel
- Choose the PDF to convert.
- In the dialog that opens, select Excel workbook (.xlsx).
- Check the sheets: pages without a table are listed line by line.
- Select Download Excel file.
What you get
One sheet per page
Sheets are named after the page they came from, so it is easy to find a table again.
Numbers stay numbers
Cells that are clean numbers, such as 1,234.56, are written as numbers so sums work.
Stays on your device
The file is converted in your browser. It is not uploaded, and it works without a connection once the app has been opened.
Tables are detected, not guessed
A table is a block of rows that share column positions. Merged or irregular tables may need tidying.
PDF to Excel: questions and answers
Why is a page just lines of text?
No table was detected on it, so its text lines are written one per row rather than left out.
Does it keep formulas?
No. A PDF holds only the printed values, so the workbook contains values.
Is my file uploaded?
No. The conversion runs on your device.
